SUMMARY

As an Estimator, you’ll determine repair scope, cost, and timelines, negotiate with insurers, and clearly communicate with customers. You’ll be the bridge between the teardown bay and final delivery—keeping repairs accurate, on time, and on budget.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Examine damaged areas to determine repair, replacement, or refinish needs.

  • Assess vehicle damage through detailed inspections.

  • Estimate labor and parts costs to repair the vehicle.

  • Prepare insurance forms and documentation to support the repair estimate.

  • Communicate professionally with customers about damage, costs, timelines, and insurance questions.

  • Draft work orders with required repairs and enter them into CollisionRight’s system.

  • Maintain organized, accurate repair records in company files.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Active Pennsylvania Physical Damage Appraiser’s License (Required).

  • Solid knowledge of collision repair processes, techniques, and materials; 1–3 years of collision/estimating experience preferred.

  • Strong understanding of vehicle structure and component R&R (doors, glass, fenders, etc.).

  • Consistent adherence to safety procedures and PPE requirements.

  • Sharp attention to detail; ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

  • Physical ability to lift up to 35 lbs routinely and occasionally 70+ lbs; agility for climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing as needed.

  • Strong hand/arm/finger dexterity and reach.

  • Proven negotiation skills and a customer-first mindset.

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.
